DIGITAL AD TECHNICAL INFORMATION / SPECIFICATIONS

Printing by web offset lithography. SWOP standards are followed.

Soldier Of Fortune Magazine is printed Direct-To-Plate. NO FILM ACCEPTED!

We are Macintosh-based, but we accept the following file formats:
• TIFF • EPS • QUARK XPRESS • PDF* • high-resolution JPEG

* PDFs must be set up in accordance with our PDF guidelines. Contact us for a easy, step-by-step instruction sheet that we can email you. We cannot alter your PDF files.

Photo Resolution Requirements: (in pixels per inch)
200 ppi for Black/White
300 ppi for Color

• For color photos or ads, please convert to CMYK mode

• Quark Xpress files: include all FONTS and support files.

• EPS Files: In Adobe Illustrator, Macromedia Freehand and Corel Draw files,
convert all fonts to paths, and imbed all imported graphics.

• For best results, use Type 1 fonts.

• Sorry, no Microsoft files with imbedded graphics can be accepted.

.• 72 ppi JPEG web files are not acceptable for print.

A HARDCOPY proof of your digital ad is required!

You can email your ad, however, you must be sure to include all support files and fonts. Keep in mind that computer screen resolution and print resolution are very different. Screen resolution is 72 pixels per inch. Do not send us photos at 72 ppi! See the above section for resolution requirements. If you email your ad, you must mail or fax us a hard copy. Advertiser accepts full and complete responsibility for proofreading and ad accuracy.
